Nora Sweeney is a filmmaker and photographer based in Southern California. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, she graduated from Oberlin College with a major in Studio Art. After college, she taught documentary filmmaking and photography for two years at a women's college in Madurai, India through a fellowship from Oberlin Shansi. She has been working as a freelance photographer and videographer for various non-profits and producing short documentary films. Currently, she is a MFA candidate at California Institute for the Arts in Film and Video.
